Weight: 10 lbs 8 oz
Diapers: Size 1, Size 2 at night
Clothes: 0-3 months
Shoes: still none...getting closer to fitting into crib mocs
(Here's Cam's two month update, for a comparison! Louise is 2" shorter and 2 lbs lighter!)
Eating: A ton still...You are eating around four ounces during each feeding. I think you are on the verge of needing more but eating less frequently. You are still close to eating at 6, 9, 12, 3, etc..., but you have been not wanting the bottle right at those times anymore (You used to eat at those times, on the dot.), so I think we will make the switch to 7, 10:30, 2, 5 and 8.
You are still on Alimentum formula, and I don't have any plans to switch. You are such a happy baby, so fix what's not broken?! :)
Sleeping: You, my dear, are such a weird sleeper. Since the day you were born, you've been going down around 9 (sometimes a little earlier) and sleeping until at least 6 - waking to eat and going right back to sleep. Thank you for never confusing day and night.
However, you are the worst napper ever! You will sleep like a champ in my arms or the car, but otherwise, you get so overtired that you're grumpy and nothing can cure you except for me to hold you until you fall asleep. Sometimes, I can put you down in your swing or bassinet, and you will stay asleep, but that usually only lasts for about 20 minutes. Now that you are (maybe) switching to the new schedule, we may have to do a little nap training so you will sleep for your poor day care teachers in August.
For bed, we are swaddling you with the Miracle Blanket and using lots of white noise. You are sleeping in your swing, and I am scared to death to take you out of it. I put you in the crib last night because we were up in your room, you fell asleep, and I needed to put away some clothes. You woke right up and were not happy being flat on your back! Ha. We will be waiting a few more weeks for that transition.
For the past week, you have only been waking up once in the middle of the night. You have been sleeping from 9 (or earlier) until 3...one morning, you slept until 4! Then you go back to sleep until 7 or so. However, once you are up for the morning, there are no naps unless we get in the car and go! So, we have been doing lots of morning trips so you can get a short nap.
If we are home for your afternoon nap (We haven't been great about that since Peyton and Mica are here, and we are out and about more.), I will do the full bedroom routine of swaddling and white noise in your swing. This is usually a good nap, and and it happens while Cameron is napping, too, which is ah-mazing!
Loves: SMILING - you're such an adorable smiler now! You also love to be held, of course, you love the Bumbo seat and being outdoors. You are definitely starting to be more alert and awake longer, so you are taking everything in. You don't like to be shut in your stroller when we are out, so we open the top, when it's not too sunny.
Hates: Being hungry or tired (You get HANGRY.), having a dirty diaper, being ignored, loud/sudden noises and being dressed (although, you're not minding that as much).
Health: Right on your one month birthday, you developed thrush on your tongue, gums and lips. We got some medicine for it, and it helped a little. I think time healed it more, but we are happy that it's gone! It didn't seem to bother you - you still ate and slept fine, but it didn't look good! Otherwise, you've been very healthy!
You can see your thrush on your lips here...you didn't even care!
Adventures: This month, you have been ON. THE. GO. Peyton and Mica are here, so we haven't stopped. (PS Mica LOVES you. I think she wants to take you home with her!) You've been to Crescent Beach, Two Lights, Range Pond, Long Lake (your first boat ride), Puffer Pond, Sea Dogs game, Freeport, York's Wild Animal Kindgom and lots of other mini adventures including the playground, mall and Target, of course. You also experienced your first Fourth of July, but you slept through most of it. :)
