Picture Dump: What We've been up to

Well, Louise is still not here, so we are "circling the airport," as Chad calls it. We have an induction scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:30 unless a miracle happens beforehand...I'm not holding my breathe, but we'll see!

The exterior of our house is FINALLY finished...I have so many pictures of the inside to share, but that will be a long post for another day. So, we have been busy landscaping and enjoying our driveway. They are working on the garage now, so as soon as that's done, we will be able to create our backyard (which is about 10' x 10') and use that for the rest of the summer/fall.

We live on the first floor and back half of the second floor....
My mom lives on the rest of the second floor and the third floor (The two beautiful decks are hers, but she shares!)

Before and after...
kind of blurry and smooshed, but you get the point. ;)

This kid has been having too much fun playing outside...we take at least one bath a day, and someone has become obsessed with getting clean. Yesterday, he took of his clothes and diaper, turned on the bath and got in. All by himself. (We were watching him...don't call DHS on us!)

He's also been spoiled with attention (while we can). We hit up the local MiLB game on Sunday for Superhero day...he was totally baffled when he saw 100 other Superman's, but he quickly forgot when he got to give the Trash Monster a high-five.

LouLou has jumped on the attention bandwagon...these two have been inseperable from making smoothies together to playing in the driveway to walks to going to the playground. We are SO LUCKY to have her living in the same building with us! (And, Cam is completely spoiled!)

Another culprit of the attention-spree is Papa...our favorite Veteren! We hit up the local Memorial Day parade yesterday and Cam had a blast waving his flag and collecting candy.

Our own landscaper....he would do this all. day. long. if he could!

I mean...this kid melts my heart!

Some other randoms...My mom got us this glider/recliner for the nursery, and I am in love!!!
One of my student's moms made the quilt for us; isn't it beautiful (and so thoughtful)?!

We've resorted to drinking our coffee in the shower...it's kind of like pre-gaming in the shower during college but a little different. :)

And, someone stole our plants. Seriously. Do you see that big gap of no flowers right in the middle? They were there yesterday. Today, they are gone. Who does that??

In addition to the amazing weekend we had, the fun house stuff we've been doing and preparing for Louise, I've done more laundry and lunch prep in the last two weeks just in case I go into labor, that I don't want to do anymore! Ha! I've been stressing that I would go into immediate labor and not have any of Cam's lunches prepared or any clean clothes for him...however, I've gone through this cycle like five times now, and I've concluded that someone will figure it out. He won't go to school naked and lunch-less. Right?!

Happy Tuesday! Hopefully my next post will include a beautiful picture of sweet Louise!!

Louise James: OVERDUE!

How far long? 40 weeks and 2 days...but who's counting?!

Clothing: Yoga pants and work out tanks...a maxi if I have to look presentable :)

Cameron: Cam got the darn stomach bug this past weekend, so I am glad that's gone so I can focus on Louise, if she decides to ever come. We installed the infant car seat, and I think Cam feels a little invaded in the back seat. :) I asked if he would help take care of her while we're driving, and he said, "NO! She's in my way!" Haha, even though he has the same amount of room still....Random Question: Where is your infant care seat with a toddler one? Middle or side? I put Louise's in the middle (since Cam's was already on the side), but someone said the fire station recommended putting the infant seat on the side and the toddler seat in the middle.

Chad: Chad now has the stomach bug...PLEASE go away before Louise arrives! He won't even be able to come to the hospital if he is sick! I am praying hard for a few days of recovery before she is born so he can be there with me...how much would that suck?!

Food: I am luckily totally healthy (I usually avoid the stomach bug, fingers crossed!) and am eating fine. Chinese, Mexican, Italian, BBQ, America...bring it on. Lucky Charms are still constantly in our pantry and fruit popsicles are a nightly tradition.

Sleep: I am still sleeping fairly well, unless I get woken up by Cam or Chad. If I have a bad night of sleep, I sleep like a rock the next night because I'm so tired.

Fun Moments: Installing the car seat, getting some cute booties from a high school friend and stocking up on breastfeeding essentials (including some new bras, tanks and a robe)

Coming Up: Um, hopefully a birth! We have zero plans since we didn't have any idea what would happen, and it's kind of fun. I went to Starbucks, Old Navy and Target this morning and am enjoying a quiet house now that I am done with work and Cam is going to school.

Differences/Similarities: I never made it this far with Cam, but I am much less swollen than I was with Cam before giving birth. I feel good and I am okay with waiting a few days.

Symptoms: I am still getting major heartburn and still have nausea in the morning until I eat my peanut butter toast. I ligaments are getting a little swollen, although I can't complain. No stretch marks and no major symptoms. I feel pretty thankful.

38 weeks...my favorite Target dress!

My last day of work...39 weeks and 6 days!
Jesse is due mid-June with another boy...
she has a 2.25 year old son who goes to school with Cam.

That's all for now....please keep us in your prayers that Chad can recover fully before Louise decides to arrive!

Five on Friday: Getting Ready for Louise

Louise's due date is two weeks from tomorrow...seriously? I don't feel ready: physically, emotionally, mentally...I kind of have bags packed and I know what I need to do before she gets here, but that list is growing by the day.

ONE: Coming Home Outfit
I went back and forth on a Coming Home Outfit....traditional, practical, monogrammed, nothing. I almost bit the bullet and ordered a monogramed outfit on Etsy yesterday, but that would just mean that I would go into labor today and her outfit would arrive way too late. That's what I get for not being a good decision maker! Anyways, I did purchase a little something from Sugar Bit!
I went way less traditional than I had planned, but this will actually get some use after she's born, and it will look pretty darn cute with a bow and some tiny shoes.

TWO: Diaper Bag
I went back and forth on some different options of piecing together bags/inserts for a diaper bag but finally decided to get an actual diaper bag. Natasha promised that it's a good one, so I made a small investment thanks to Sugar Bit's anniversary sale and got this cute bag from Bella Tunno.

THREE: Nursery
Louise's nursery is pretty well set except for the walls. I finally was able to order this mirror from Target (although I won't believe it until I actually receive it because it went from available, to not, to available again all within three minutes.) It should arrive next week, so keep your fingers crossed!

I also ordered this monogram for above her bows (thanks to Jess for the inspiration):

We also have some prints from Etsy that I will be ordering/downloading soon and some book ledges to hang.

FOUR: Cameron
My mom lives upstairs from us, so she is #1 on our list to take care of Cam while we are at the hospital. She's done daycare drop off and pick up before, so she knows the drill. She knows how to care for him as if he was her own. (That's what happens when you live together for three years!)
I do still need to:
- do groceries so I can prepare/portion Cam's lunch stuff
- pick out outfits for school
- pack his "hospital"/big brother bag
- give him more kisses and cuddles than ever before because I know I will miss them!!

FIVE: Hospital Bags
We got the CUTEST bag from our friends, Robyn and Alex (and Oscar and Waylon) filled with the best baby stuff: another Boon Grass, A&A bibs and blankets, pajamas, pacifiers and more. Its first job will be to bring Louise's stuff to and from the hospital....I have the boppy and a blanket. That's all she needs, right?!

After we install the car seat, I will feel a little more ready, but for now, we are just waiting and praying for a safe, healthy labor and delivery (in a few weeks - I am in no rush!).

I hope you all have a great weekend!!
