Baby Necessities: 3 - 6 Months

I cannot believe that Cameron is already 6 months old and, again, is moving onto a new stage of food, toys and clothes!

Here are some things that we found absolutely necessary to keep Cameron, Mom and Dad alive entertained from 3 - 6 months.

Exersaucer: Cameron loves this thing...he loves to push the buttons, chew on the toys and jump up and down! And, it doesn't move anywhere, so it's somewhere we could be sure he was safe when he started rolling over!

Baby Einstein Videos: I think every parent knows this secret...We use it at home, in the car, at restaurants, etc. Basically, it's our saving grace when he's bored and we have exhausted all toys!

Playmat: Towards the end of the 3 - 6 month period, Cameron started becoming less interested in his playmat because he could roll and play with other toys (ie. things that make noise and blink). But, there are some times that he just needs to unwind, and this is the perfect place for him.

Sophie the Giraffe: Just get one. Cam loves his and it's worth however much you need to pay for it. We also just purchased the vanilla teething rings and he is in heaven. The flavor must be so good compared to baby food and formula!

Robeez: These are the only shoes that Cameron doesn't kick off. Which means that his socks don't come off. Which means that his feet are covered in the winter. Which means that I don't look like a horrible mom with a baby with no socks. We get ours at the local consignment store for around $7.

MAMs pacifier: The 6+ months pacifiers have a bigger "nub" (?) that stays in Cameron's mouth so much better than the younger ones. He likes them. We like them.

Soft (and hard) books: Cameron puts everything in his mouth, so these books are great because he can chew on them, they are colorful and they make noise! Some hardcover books that continue to make an appearance (read: keep Cam's attention) include: Little Blue Truck, Guess How Much I Love You, Dr. Seuss and Goodnight Moon.

Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair: This is pretty self-explanatory, but it's so easy to put Cameron in, store and clean! We did receive the Stoke Tripp Trapp chair that we may use when he's a bit older, but this one has worked so great up until now!

Carter's Sleep and Play Pajamas: I was totally that mom that thought my baby would be too good for Carter's pajamas...I was soooo wrong. These have been AMAZING. In case you've never had to dress an infant before, it is not easy. So, the easier (and more comfortable) clothing is, the better. There have been many a few days where Cameron has worn one as an outfit.

I can't wait to see what the 6 - 9 month period brings!! He is changing so quickly...it's amazing to watch!

  1. Agree with all of these! Especially the Robeez shoes! Hayden hates socks and shoes and he will literally rub his feet together until he can get them off! These are the only ones that stay! My mom got him the most adorable Robeez furry boots for Christmas and we've been wearing them every day since. Perfect for our cold winters!
